The Florida Justice Association (FJA) leads that charge. The FJA is dedicated to strengthening and upholding Florida’s civil justice system and protecting the rights of Florida’s citizens and consumers. Every year, lawmakers in Tallahassee, funded and motivated by lobbyists hired by the insurance industry, seek to pass laws aimed at curtailing the rights of the injured and attacking the practices of trial attorneys who seek to help the injured and the deserving. Make no mistake- the insurance industry spends millions propping up politicians with one end in mind- to pay out less in claims and redirecting that money to company profit.
Each year, it is the proud leadership of the FJA who stands up to mis-guided politicians and works in the legislative, political and public arenas to ensure that Floridians know and understand the importance of their rights to justice and to make certain that these rights, which are at the very core of what it means to be American, are safeguarded and protected. From proposing legislation aimed at helping the little guy to opposing legislation that only benefits insurance companies and big business, the FJA does so much for us, behind the scenes, without the public even knowing they exist.
All Floridians deserve their day in Court. We all benefit when deserving individuals have a fair chance to seek justice in our state’s courts. Florida’s consumers are made safer when large corporations and industries are held to a high ethical standard and accept fair responsibility for their actions.
